Nicola Jacobs is Deputy Headteacher at Charles Dickens Nursery and Primary School and co-creator of Fluency Focus, with David Windle.

Nicola is passionate about the benefits of reading aloud and exploring text through talk and drama.  In 2018-2020, she was a lead teacher for All the School's a Stage, a collaboration with Shakespeare's Globe, on using drama techniques to improve writing outcomes for primary pupils across South London. Prior to becoming a teacher, Nicola worked in health policy.
